Weathering with You Bluray

 

Weathering With You tells the story of a Japanese high school student named Hodaka who flees the tiny island he calls home for Tokyo, where it never seems to stop raining. There, he struggles to find work and ultimately ends up getting a gig at an occult magazine, where he’s tasked with tracking down a rumored hare-onna (晴れ女) or “clear-weather woman,” who is said to be able to control the skies. Hodaka befriends a girl named Hina, whom he learns is this rumored hare-onna.

(In Japanese, there is a term called ame-otoko (雨男) or “rain man,” and it means that wherever an ame-otoko goes, rain follows. While the movie doesn’t explicitly state this, Hodaka is an ame-otoko. Thematically, the character serves as a contrast with Hina. This isn’t really explored fully, but makes for a fascinating subtext.)

Weathering With You is a beautiful film with breathtaking animation, a story and soundtrack that will make you cry oceans, and a cast of wonderful and charming characters. Unfortunately, it wraps the story in a conflicting view of climate change that feels like an unnecessary red herring for a film that seems to want to talk to current generations about something important but never starts a conversation.

The Secret Garden 2020 Bluray

The Secret Garden is based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic children's novel. 

It has moments of mild peril but essentially deals with grief in a positive manner. It's very much a coming-of-age tale, as young orphan Mary Lennox (Dixie Egerickx) must adapt to a new culture and learn vital life skills, including compassion, following the death of her parents. She achieves this through a combination of friendship, curiosity, and imagination. Her new optimism also inspires her widowed uncle, Lord Archibald Craven (Colin Firth) -- who, it's suggested, drinks to relieve the pain of losing his wife. Mary suffers from nightmares and hears gunfire in her sleep, suggesting she witnessed violence while growing up in colonial India. A dog is in distress after being caught in an animal trap, resulting in a bleeding leg and a limp. There's also a major house fire, and while nobody is injured, it's tense and nerve-wracking as the characters struggle to escape. Overall, this adaptation has positive messages about the power of curiosity and imagination and could help inspire a love of nature.

Whisper of the Heart MULTi 1080p 10bits BluRay x265 AC3 5.1

 

Whisper of the Heart was the first Studio Ghibli feature not to be directed be either of the co-founders, Hayao Miyazaki or Isao Takahata, although director Yoshifumi Kondo worked from a screenplay and storyboards credited to Miyazaki. Not unlike Takahata’s Only Yesterday, which was released four years earlier, this film possesses a narrative that could easily have received a live-action adaptation. Taken in concert, these productions signaled a new era in Japanese animation. If a simple coming-of-age tale like this was to be produced today in the United States by Disney/Pixar, it would be hailed as “risky” and “groundbreaking.”

Plot: Shizuku Tsukishima is a 14-year-old student at Mukaihara Junior High School, where she is best friends with Yuko Harada. Living in Tokyo with her parents Asako and Seiya, as well as sharing a room with older sister Shiho, Shizuku is a bookworm and is keen on creative writing. During an ordinary evening, she looks through the checkout cards in her library books. She discovers they were all checked out previously by someone named Seiji Amasawa (天沢 聖司).....

Steins;Gate Elite

 

Steins;Gate Elite is a visual novel, and an updated version of the 2009 game Steins;Gate. Unlike previous games in the Science Adventure Series, Elite is fully animated, using footage from the Steins;Gate anime series along with newly produced animation for story routes not adapted in the anime. The animation is played together with the script and voiced dialogue from the original game.

The player reads the on-screen text and presses a button to advance the animation and text, thereby progressing the story. At some points in the game, the player makes choices which cause the story to branch in different directions, leading to different endings.

Content: The story follows college student Okabe Rintaro. He’s quite a quirky fellow and walks around calling himself a mad scientist while madly laughing at the top of his voice. Despite all his talk of conspiracies and secret organisations he’s really just a normal, geeky guy. He and his friends hang out in their ‘laboratory’, which is basically just a club house, and invent the kind of silly, pointless gadgets that would be utterly ripped apart if they were ever showcased on Dragon’s Den.

Their latest gadget however is a little bit different. They’d aimed to create a microwave that could be controlled by phone but instead seem to have inadvertently created something that can send text messages into the past. This leads to them getting caught up in a global conspiracy, complete with shady organisations and deadly consequences.

Steins;Gate: My Darling's Embrace (STEINS;GATE 比翼恋理のだーりん Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Darling) is a romantic comedy spin-off visual novel that occurs in the Delta Attractor Field.

The game was produced by Naotaka Hayashi, and featured scenario supervision by Tatsuya Matsubara, as opposed to the original Steins;Gate, where 5pb.'s Chiyomaru Shikura planned the story on his own; after having worked on the anime adaptation of Steins;Gate, he realized that, with the game world being fully established, he could let other writers work on it and bring in new ideas. The Xbox 360 release sold well, helping the sales of the Xbox 360 console in Japan. Critics enjoyed the game's writing and art, but criticized the opening theme.

The story takes place after August 6, 2010 in the original visual novel, when Rintaro Okabe suddenly finds himself in a Delta world line after conducting multiple D-mail experiments. There the Phone Microwave was placed aside and never used in multiple experiments. The Phone Microwave still exists, however the function was not discovered until a later period compared to the original game, thus few experiments were ever held due to Delta Attractor Field Okabe interrupting the members beginning to experiment on the Phone Microwave. There are several new Future Gadgets, and Kiryuu Moeka and Amane Suzuha are lab members. Also, neither Tennouji Yuugo, nor Kiryuu Moeka are Rounders.

When Okabe comes to, he finds the lab members preparing for a party and that due to successive experimenting the Future Gadget Laboratory's electric bill has skyrocketed. To compensate for this Okabe tries waitering and decides to sell the latest Future Gadget.

This Attractor Field is seemingly peaceful. Amane Suzuha of the Alpha Attractor Field's hostility towards Makise Kurisu is absent, and neither Makise Kurisu nor Shiina Mayuri die. However, little is known about its future, and what its convergence point could be.

The story pans out in six possible possibilities, or "routes", each revolves around Rintarou's romantic relationship with either of the 6 main female characters (Rukako remains male throughout the story though), including the newly added Kiryuu Moeka story path.
